.. and that's my wife, Brie.

I'm not sure where you found me, whether it was TikTok, Instagram, or by a random search, so let's start with a quick backstory. We're a single income family, but our roles are reversed. My wife, Brie, is the sole provider of our family. I lost my job due to COVID in 2021, right after I returned to work from paternity leave. Rather than take another low paying job, we took our situation and turned it into an opportunity where I would stay home with our kids, while Brie worked.. aka I'm a SAHD (which is a crappy acronym, because I'm actually happy). It's been going great, and no, I don't care that my wife makes all the money. What I do care about is being comfortable and making sure we're able to give ourselves and our kids the life we all deserve. When I lost my job we had two kids.. now we have three, and they're not getting any less expensive, and neither is the cost of living.

Knowing that returning to the workforce would increase our expenses because we'd need daycare, I began to look for a side hustle that I could do from home while being around my kids. What I found very quickly was that a majority of side hustles took up just as much time as a full-time job to see an impactful return, and some required a lot of upfront financial commitments.

Let's get into the rental home or flipping business like I've talked about.. well, we're currently renovating our entire home, so the thought of finding, fixing, and maintaining rental homes is something we can't really float right now. Plus, have you seen the interest rates?

Oh, remember when I was going to start day trading? I read the books and can just start following the markets again. Right, right, right, I'm trying to make money, not risk what we have to attempt to make more. Maybe down the line when we have some liquidity, but not right now.

Instacart? Uber? What part of that sounds enticing? I want to make more money, but not at the expense of sacrificing the time I get to spend with our kids, or Brie. I don't know about you, but that hour or two of wind-down time after the kids go to bed is golden.

I was beginning to think that finding a passive income side hustle was literally like finding a needle in a haystack. I was coming to terms that I might have to just get back into the traditional workforce, but then..
